Peer Mentor Training
Peer Mentor Training
This week we trained seventeen Lower Sixth Form pupils who have all volunteered to be Peer Mentors next year.
King's Peer Mentors are specially trained Sixth Formers, who have the advantage of being closer in age to the young person seeking support. They provide a listening point and friendly advice on a whole range of topics from friendship issues, to schoolwork stress - as someone who has likely been there and seen it before.
When life can seem overwhelming, having the space and time to talk through things can help life to feel manageable again and our well-being support is there for everyone - and our Peer Mentors are an important part of this support network.
