On Thursday 1st November, we were lucky enough to have one of Frantic Assembly's specialist practitioners visit our school to run a physicality workshop for GCSE and A-Level pupils. This was an excellent way of allowing students to experience an insight into how a professional company creates new material.

All pupils worked hard to break-down their own personal boundaries in this new and unusual way of performing. They were able to learn various lifts, such as a "wrap lift" and a "clamp", and use these as building-blocks to devise a piece. They then played with eye contact, and the emotion that comes with this. This has provided students with a bank of skills to take away and use in their own devising work, as well as promoting the physical confidence needed to be brave and bold with the material they are making.

We look forward to using these new skills in our future performances!
