To Orlando - and beyond...
In the October half term forty pupils and four staff travelled to Orlando for an action-packed week of maths and science themed fun!
On Tuesday we visited the Kennedy Space Center, where there was an opportunity to explore the history of space flight, had lunch and a Q&A with an astronaut, and we found out what the future holds for further missions, including plans for Mars.
Wednesday we visited Epcot and learnt about future technologies, whilst on Thursday we explored the Energy and Waves Physics Lab as part of the Youth Education Series (YES). The group experienced science in action in the Epcot theme park, too, of course! Finally, on Friday, we looked at the role of STEAM in movie making, with a tour of Hollywood Studios, before making our way back to the UK.
