European Languages Day Celebrated with Music
On Wednesday 3rd October, European Languages Assembly was celebrated with music. Europe’s musical history is rich and varied, from classical, to 80's synthethisers, to Swedish pop domination.
A group of Third, Fourth and Sixth Form pupils wanted to share some of the foreign language songs that they have enjoyed and sang rousing French and Spanish songs which filled the Cathedral and left the audience tapping their feet and singing along.
Mrs Mitchell, Head of Modern Foreign Languages at King's, commented, "Music is the greatest communication in the world. Even if people don't understand the language that you're singing in, they still know good music when they hear it."
