Hockey Heroes

The 1st X1 Boys’ Team made history several times this season. As well as our two England Hockey captains, we were undefeated in the HGW8 hockey league, winning the league for the third year in the row – in fact, we have never lost a game. The team also entered the recently revamped England Hockey knockout out, getting to the last 16 in the country and beating Monkton School, Bloxham School and Taunton School.

Sadly, we have come to the end of the season, but the statistics speak for themselves; 81 matches played with over half won and 262 goals scored.

Good luck to the U6th who have played their last games and we hope you continue to play beyond school. Thank you to all the coaches, players and parents. All in all, this has been a great season with so many highlights, too many to mention.

The future for boys’ hockey at King’s is bright with many talented youngsters coming through.
