Lady Taverners Cricket Competition

Many congratulations to the girls’ U15 team who came an amazing second in the regional final of the Lady Taverners cricket competition, being beaten only by Shrewsbury Cricket School.

The day of the regional final, held at Edgbaston Stadium on 26th April, started quite tentatively but went from strength to strength during each match, culminating in a pulsating performance in the final.

The team included: Cerys King, Lucy Gilder, Ella Moulsdale, Claudia Leweson-Jones, Jess Smith, Sophie Edwards, Zoe Gibb, Eleanor Morgan and Mary Wheeler.

Congratulations should also go to the girls U13 team who also participated in the county competition, but although they reached the final by beating Dean Close in the semi-final, they lost to a very good Bristol Grammar School.  

Girls’ cricket is growing at King’s and we look forward to more girls’ cricket matches during the Trinity term in both the Junior and Senior School
