Cloister Challenge 2018
On Friday 23rd March, staff and pupils from the King's School joined other members of the wider Gloucester community to sleep in the Cathedral Cloisters in the annual Cloister Challenge. The event is organised by the Rotary Club, Gloucester to raise essential funds for the homeless and vulnerable in the City of Gloucester.
King's School organiser of the event, David Butler, commented:
"we have been over-whelmed by the generosity of friends, colleagues, pupils and their families and are very pleased to say that, together, we have raised over £5,200 for this worthy, local cause. It was a tough night for all of us who took part and highlighted the dangers, distress and misery that the homeless face every night. We hope that in some way our donation will make a small difference to their plight."
