To inspire our possible young rugby stars of the future and to equip them with the best skills, some of the professional stars of today gave an expert masterclass to our Lower and Upper Shell boys (Year Five and Six boys), along with pupils from The Richard Pate School, Berkhampstead School, and The Grange, Monmouth.

Around 140 boys enjoyed the coaching session from Gloucester rugby players, Charlie Sharples and Tom Marshal, former ex Samoa international, Terry Fanolua, as well as GRFU coaches. The extra special day included a skills masterclass and a mini tournament to put everything into practice and show off their newfound skills. It is almost possible to see the dreams of professional careers in the grinning faces of the team photograph above; along with those holding a serious expression – perhaps contemplating the hard work required to be a future star!
