As part of our Future Skills Programme, some of our Lower Sixth students have been visiting Park View Care Home once a fortnight to give the residents some extra company.

Obviously, due to the current situation, our students have been unable to continue their visits, so instead some of them have been emailing members of the local Re-Engage Group to offer their friendship.

Members of the Re-Engage community are all over 70 and live alone, so their lives have been hugely affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

We’ve loved hosting the group for their Christmas tea parties in the School Hall over the past few years and hope having a new pen-pal from our school community helps brighten someone’s day!
