Michael Rosen at the Cheltenham Literature Festival

On Monday 9th October, Lower and Upper Prep (Year Three and Year Four) went to the Cheltenham Literature Festival to see Michael Rosen. We excitedly ventured into The Times Forum tent and found our seats ready for Michael Rosen to introduce himself.

During the hour, Mr Rosen told us many funny stories about his life growing up, and he asked us to join in with some of the words and actions. We all really enjoyed Mr Rosen’s performance. Elijah liked hearing about how Mr Rosen grew up in the Stone Age and, in particular, his intriguing description that the Stone Age just ended with a big line coming down. Emily was amused when she heard about Mr Rosen getting into trouble by throwing his gran's (Bubu's) ring out of the window. We have all come back to school ready to inject some imagination, exaggeration and humour into our own stories.
