2020 Overseas Trips
The King’s School has a variety of interesting trips coming up in 2020.
This half term, First to Sixth Form pupils travel to Sauze d’Oulx, Italy to experience the Italian Alps whilst skiing. Mr. Phillips, the teacher leading the trip, has told us what he thinks of the trip:
This is the best trip the school runs because the pupils develop a huge amount of confidence as the week progresses, which is also gained by integrating all the year groups.
After that the Second Form pupils travel to Normandy for their residential trip. The pupils experience a range of activities, including visiting Mont Saint Michel. Miss Pike gave us her opinion on the trip,
I am looking forward to watching the pupils enjoy a huge range of new activities on this busy trip,
Third to Sixth Form pupils travel to Seville, Spain to immerse themselves in the historic city. The art and languages trip is led by Mrs Mitchell who gives us an insight to what will be happening:
King’s pupils revel in the sunny conditions of Seville, where they visit UNESCO world heritage sites such as la Giralda. They mix with Spanish pupils and take a masterclass in flamenco dancing, which is a really inspiring experience. They will also be enjoying the local food and tapas.
Then at the end of the year a group of Fourth to Sixth Form pupils travel to Costa Rica in October to further enrich their knowledge. Biology and Geography pupils will be learning about the biodiversity, climate and the unique environment of the country. Ms Comens, the teacher leading the 9-day trip, has given us her thoughts on it:
I think it is important that the pupils learn how to conserve our planet.
