Parent Survey confirms King's is welcoming, nuturing, encouraging and rounded
"Parents continue to highly regard King’s Senior School for its welcoming and nurturing atmosphere, high quality teaching and its rounded approach to education that focuses on the individual.
The school is strongly endorsed by the overwhelming majority of its parents. Their children are happy; they are satisfied and would recommend King’s to others"
These are the concluding remarks from the survey of King's Senior School parents in late Autumn 2023, undertaken by RSAcademics.
The aim of the survey was to find out more about what King's Senior School parents value about the school, to guage their attitudes to a wide range of aspects of school life and to understand where parents would like to see the school develop. Over 60% of familes responded, which is above the benchmark for other schools surveyed by RSAcademics.
King’s Senior School continues to be strongly valued by its parents. It is regarded as a welcoming school, highly rated for the individual attention provided to pupils, made possible by small class sizes and the caring, approachable and responsive staff. Parents recognise this focus on the individual in the school’s rounded academic, pastoral care and co-curricular ethos.
King’s is felt to be well led and communications and relationships between staff, parents and pupils, together with the sense of community which this engenders, are all felt to be very strong.
Parents were also asked to highlight areas for continued focus and possible enhancement. These were teaching and academic priorities, the school lunches and bus and transport arrangements. Opportunities to improve these areas further will be discussed by the School Governors and Management Team.
Overall, we are delighted with the results, which build on the previous surveys undertaken in 2017 and 2020, and show a clear upward progression in parent satisfaction and advocacy.
