Quarter Final win for King's 1st XV
On Tuesday, 10th December, The King’s School faced one of their toughest challenges yet, in the quarter final of the National Vase against Worth School. Worth’s results this season had demonstrated what a strong team they were, and King’s knew this would be their hardest test so far.
In another away game, it was vital for the King’s players to prepare thoroughly. King’s had enjoyed a good season up to this point, but they were still looking for a complete performance - and they delivered when it mattered most.
Their intensity in both attack and defence was relentless, putting the opposition under immense pressure. Every player performed their role to the best of their ability, scoring some outstanding tries and defending as if their lives depended on it. King’s won the game 30 – 8, making rugby history by reaching the final four teams in a National Schools competition for the first time. However, there is still work to be done for this talented and exceptionally hardworking team.
The game was played in great spirit, and we extend our thanks to Worth for hosting us.
