Concert for the Community
Carrying musical instruments in hand, 14 pupils from the Junior School walked to the local residential home, ready to entertain the residents.
During the forty-minute concert, the residents were treated to solos from a flautist, cellist, pianist and a French horn player. There were also solos from singers and a performance from the Recorder Ensemble. Pupils who are in King’s Voices ended the concert with two African songs.
After a big round of applause, the pupils were given refreshments and happily chatted to the residents, who were so appreciative of the talent shown by all 14 musicians. This was a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to gain experience performing in the community.
