Healthy Eating Lessons
Upper Transition (Year Two) enjoyed taking part in a healthy eating workshop at Waitrose on Thursday 19th October. The visit was linked with our current Science lessons - where we are looking at how to eat a healthy and balanced diet. Throughout the morning, the children learnt about different kinds of vegetables and how much they should be eating to make their diet balanced. They were also fascinated to learn that Waitrose cows listen to music when they are being milked!
Each child made their own rainbow pasta salad, which contained a variety of vibrant vegetables, in order to make an appetising multicoloured dish. Everyone looked forward to taking his or her delicious dinner home to eat.
