King's School celebrated Lent Eucharist on Wednesday 21st February with a dedicated service in the Cathedral and collection by pupils for the Gloucester Foodbank.

John Webster, the school Chaplain commented, "we don't think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry and our pupils and their families have been very generous with their donations of food."

Following the service, the children and staff at the school sat down to a simple lunch of soup and bread, with the money saved being sent to the Gloucester Foodbank. This is in addition to £2,600 raised at the three Carol Services before Christmas, which went to three local charities.
