On Friday 19th January, the children in Upper Transition (Year 2) visited Gloucester Life Museum to take part in a Victorian Schools workshop experience. The children dressed up as Victorian school children and lined up ready for their morning exercise, ‘drill’.  Lucy from the life Museum was the guide for the morning; she was also the Victorian teacher! The children got the chance to use a slate board and slate pencil as well as an ink pen.  The Victorian teacher showed the class all the different types of punishments that were present in Victorian schools. The children asked Lucy lots of questions and were fascinated.\
