Pop-up plastic toy swap shop
May 20th 2019
The Year 6 class invited all the children in the school to bring in a plastic toy to swap with one another. This was to encourage children to reuse plastic as part of our Lent initiative to use less plastic. The Upper Shell group (Year 6) designed posters, made tickets and manned the pop-up shop. They chose this idea because they feel that it will stop people from throwing away toys they don’t want.
Everyone had great fun and it was lovely to see how happy the children were to get a new toy to play with. It was successful and enjoyable whilst saving the world!
