Lower Transition invite the 'Queen' to tea

Lower Transition are learning all about our capital city and thought it would be a great idea to put on an afternoon tea for the Queen (of the Junior School).

Prior to the afternoon tea, we wrote and delivered invitations to the Queen. On the day of the party, we had a fantastic time preparing for the royal visit by spending some time in the cookery suite making sandwiches, decorating hats so that we looked smart for such a formal occasion and thinking of questions to ask in order to find out more about the Queen.

Mrs Haas put on her crown and perfected her royal wave, truly getting into the spirit of being the Queen's understudy. The afternoon was a great success with the children learning many things about the Queen.
