Lower Shell trip to Weston-super-Mare
On Thursday 26th September we went to Weston-super-Mare. It was my very first trip at King’s and my first of the Lower Shell year!
It was so much fun! We started off by doing a land use survey and by completing a tally chart to show facilities in the town that have been put there for tourists who come to visit. We then went on the pier and we sketched the view of both the older Victorian side of Weston and also the more modern side. The Victorians made seaside holidays popular and it was interesting to see how the resort had grown since Victorian times.
After a snack from the café we went to Marine Lake and we played on the beach and we paddled in the water in the man-made lake.
It was a bit rainy on the ride there, but luckily we were in the coach at that point and then it was lovely during the day and on the way back.
I loved the day out! Thank you Mrs Tuffill and Mrs Wyman!
