During October half term, two of our students took part in the Longwell Green and Kingswood Performing Arts Festival near Bristol. Phoebe Jones (Yr 7) and Juliet Fisher (Yr 6) brought home handfuls of awards for their performances.

Phoebe won the Stone Trophy for her performance of an own choice humorous poem! The trophy is awarded to the person with the highest mark across all ages from the 11 years & under section right up to 19 and over! An outstanding achievement.

Later in the day, Phoebe also won the bronze medal in the 11-13 years Solo Acting class, despite being the youngest in the class of 12 performers.

My next one was 'The Gardener's Daughter' and I came first and won a trophy. My Third one was sigh reading which I also came second with and my last one was a recited piece and I did 'The Dragon with the Chocolate Heart' by Stephanie Burgis which I also came second with."
