"National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2022) is like London Fashion Week, but for apprenticeships. Think of it as a celebration of all the latest clothing trends, but instead it’s the work of apprentices, not Gucci !" as they say on the Rate my Apprenticeship website.

NAW brings together all characters from within the apprenticeship community - employers, training providers, apprentices and young people who are thinking of taking the apprenticeship path.

It takes place between the 7th and 13th of February 2022, and will be more exciting than ever. Here is everything you need to know about National Apprenticeship Week 2022.  NAW 2022

Free Virtual Events

There is also a fantastic programme of free online events for pupils and parents here:

Google

Google are running an exciting webinar on technology apprenticeships with Google on Wednesday, 9th March aimed at parents of children in the Fourth to Sixth Forms. You can register for this event HERE.

KPMG

Applications are now open for a great range of KPMG apprenticeships. They offer apprenticeships in Audit, KPMG Business Services, Consulting, Law and Technology across the UK. As an apprentice at KPMG, you’ll gain valuable work experience, develop professional skills and be supported in your studies towards funded professional qualifications and degrees – all whilst earning a salary. Unilever

Unilever are also running virtual events.  They are holding two live Q&A’s with some of their apprentices. They have apprentices from a variety of different functions including Finance, Marketing, Research and Development and Sales (Customer Development), so the events should be of wide interest. You can register your interest now on Eventbrite to attend their Virtual Events which will be held on Microsoft Teams Webinar.

Department for Education

To coincide with NAW 2022, Alex Burghart, Minister for Skills, is writing to students and parents about the opportunities and benefits apprenticeships can bring to young people. The intention of the letters is to encourage students and parents to consider apprenticeships when they are thinking about career choices.
