Paralympic archery gold medallist inspires King’s pupils to aim high
This year’s Guest of Honour at Speech Day was Danielle Brown MBE.
She is an archer, a double Paralympic gold medallist and five times World Champion. She was the World Number One for her entire career. She also achieved something which is achieved very rarely - she successfully transitioned onto the able-bodied team. Danielle was awarded an MBE for services to Archery in the New Year Honours list 2015.
Danielle told us about her inspirational journey in which she overcame adversity at every turn. She also talked about ‘thinking differently’ and redefining our failures and successes. She was an exceptional, engaging speaker and a fantastic role model for our students; encouraging them to develop a positive mindset, unlock their potential and achieve more.
