Young Performers Concert for Dornakal
The Young Performers and Friends of Dornakal concert was a huge success and raised an amzing £850. It was a wonderful evening and Holy Trinity Church in Longlevens was delighted to host the concert and welcome the musicians and singers.
Special thanks to John Pennington, Catherine Sawyer and Dee Peters as well as the simply fantastic singers and performers: Bertie, Jacob, Alexander, Joseph, Alexander, Henry, Wayland, Ella, Cecily, Emma, Henry, James and Oli. Former pupils Maria Pennington and Sophia O’Sullivan came back especially to sing, as well. John Knowles, the organist at Holy Trinity also played the organ. There were many people from Holy Trinity Church and from the local community in Longlevens. We thank everyone for their support.
After the concert, the raffle was drawn and the beautiful throw created and donated by Olive Rowe was won by Mr Pennington.
Everyone enjoyed refreshments in the hall; many thanks to all who baked cakes and cookies including Louise, Oli, Charlie, Bee, Emma and Poppy.
A special thanks to all who helped on the night – Imogen, Bee, Will and Charlie, Christian, Kiran O’ Brien, Kathryn O’ Sullivan and Angela Woodland and her daughter, Mollie.
We are very much looking forward to our next Dornakal venture – on Thursday 4th May – the Dornakal Fundraising Day – non uniform with activities at break and lunchtime.
